Hi, I’m Tonia Choi.
Creativity has been woven into my life since childhood. My mother, a gifted artist, placed a paintbrush in my hand at an early age and introduced me to the wonder of painting and drawing.
Not long after, I discovered writing—especially poetry—and those two loves have been with me ever since. Throughout my school years and into college, I received awards and recognition for both art and poetry, often affirming my heart’s desire to pursue both.
Another one of my heart’s deepest desires was to become a mother. For most of my adult life, I have devoted myself to motherhood, a calling that has shaped and inspired me in countless ways.
As a Mother…
While raising my children has always been at the center of my world, I’ve never let go of my creative practice—painting, drawing, writing, and teaching whenever and wherever I could.
Now that my youngest is in elementary school, I feel a deep pull to step into this next chapter of my life: prioritizing my creative work, sharing it with the world, and pursuing it with passion.
I am drawn to painting loose, colorful florals and abstracts that feel joyful. Many of these paintings are inspired by the hundreds of poems I’ve written over the years, an expression of my life’s experiences. My art and poetry are deeply influenced by the beauty and challenges of motherhood, the sisterhood of being a woman, and my daily pursuit of living a joyful and intentional life.
Beyond the Art…
Beyond creating art, my heart’s calling is to build community and connection—especially for women and mothers who struggle to balance the demands of everyday life with their creative passions.
I believe creativity is not a luxury, but an essential part of who we are, and I want to encourage women to honor that vital part of themselves. Through my own pursuit of art, I hope to create spaces of inspiration, support, and joy.
At the center of everything I do are three guiding values: authenticity, creativity, and personal growth. These values shape not only the work I create but the way I connect with others and the way I choose to show up in the world.
My goal is to offer art from the soul that is colorful, joyful, and brings beauty to everyday life, while also nurturing a community of women who are ready to embrace the beautiful gift of self-expression.
